![]() The code is roughlyĬWinThread *pThread=AfxBeginThread (ReadIn,¶ms,THREAD_PRIORITY_NORMAL,0x1000000,0) (the thread is created successfully, and begins execution) UNIT _cdecl ReadIn(LPVOID param). Where the pgm hangs up is at the beginning of a worker thread, when the stack is being allocated. When the same pgm is run on the Win32 platform, it works fine. The same symptom occurs with a debug version and a release version. The yellow "next statement" arrow in the tool bar goes on, but no code appears, and no debugger features work. The symptom is: the debugger goes to a certain point in the pgm, then freezes. The WinXP machine has 32 GB, so that should be plenty. ![]() ![]() The pgm I am debugging is VC++/MFC, and fairly simple, except it uses a lot of memory.
